Dylan Scott Wiseman

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Dylan Wiseman, 27, of Rensselaer, Indiana, was welcomed into Heaven’s gates while doing what he loved—riding his motorcycle. Dylan was born on February 13, 1999, at Jasper County Hospital to Gary and Sherry Wiseman. Dylan grew up in Morocco, Indiana, and attended North Newton School Corporation, graduating with the Class of 2017. Along with his love for motorcycles, Dylan was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, almost always with his dad and his precious companion, Katie Ann, his faithful yellow Labrador Retriever, by his side. You rarely saw Dylan without a fish or a bird in his hands. You never saw him without Katie trailing just a few steps behind him. Dylan worked for Wiseman Tree Service (formerly James Tree Service) for most of his life. He began learning the family business at just six years old, preparing to one day carry on the legacy that meant so much to him. During his high school years, he also worked at Smith’s Farm Stores in Rensselaer. In recent years, Dylan became a farmhand for Hitchings Family Farms in Rensselaer and worked with Ditch Side Services, where he sprayed weeds and continued learning another family trade that was intended to be passed down to him. Dylan had a heart of gold. He never entered a room without a smile on his face and a joke ready to follow, especially if his older sister, Ashley, was nearby. He spent a lifetime teasing her and pushing her buttons, something he continued right up until his final day on Earth. Dylan will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering willingness to help others. He would gladly give his last dollar to someone in need and always made sure those around him were okay. Even when words failed him, he found a way to show he cared. Dylan is survived by his parents, Gary Wiseman (Traci Magers) and Sherry Wiseman (Dan DeVries), both of Rensselaer; his sister, Ashley (Austin) Thomas of Rensselaer; his grandmother, Betty (Sammy) Jones of Rensselaer; and his Grammy, Patricia James of Morocco. He is survived by his very best friend, Jake Williamson, or as Dylan called him, Donnie. He is survived by his partner in crime, Jessica Donovan. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Billy (Candy) Wiseman of Morocco, Bridgett Williams (Kyle Evans) of Rensselaer, Tony Williams of Rensselaer, Shayla Wiseman of Rensselaer, and Scott (Tami) James of Kentland as well as many beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory forever. Dylan’s kind heart, laughter, and love for those around him will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created will last a lifetime. While his family mourns his loss, they also find comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord and was greeted at Heaven’s gates by his beloved Papaw, Gary Wiseman Sr., and Grampy, Paul A. James. Friends may call on the family on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM CT at the chapel. Interment at Oakland Cemetery, Morocco. Memorial contributions in Dylan’s memory can be made to the Dylan Wiseman Scholarship Fund.
