Eugene Cantrell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eugene Cantrell, age 79, of Goodland, IN passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1941 in Paintsville, Kentucky, the son of Buddy and Thelma (Hitchcock) Cantrell. Eugene graduated from Stockdale High School in Stockdale, Ohio, Class of 1960. He then served in the United States Army from 1962-1965 as a mail clerk. In 1972, Eugene married Juanita Oliver in Jackson, Ohio. He was employed for 35 years with Local #460 as a union painter. His favorite activities were fishing, camping, and spending time with family. Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Cantrell of Goodland, IN; daughters, Shirley Weber of Hobart, IN and Shelley (Bobby) Hinkle of Hobart, IN; grandchildren, Alexis (Brendon) Swindle and Savannah Hinkle; great-granddaughter, Kinslee Swindle; brothers: Don, Gary, Danny, Johnny, and Jimmy Cantrell; sisters, Margie Dawson and Marlene Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents. Eugene’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at this time. Integrity Funeral & Cremation has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan Lake Memorial Day Activities Fund, 990 E Picnic Rd, Sullivan, IN.
